Add more weapons and armour to Midian. Actually, what I really need to do is finish up the guidelines that will allow others to do the heavy lifting for me. My biggest obstacle there was I needed to retool the economic base first, and I finally seem to have worked it sufficiently to allow for the stuff players most need.
The next big challenge after that is the Expeditious Characters system. This will allow for quick-start and sample characters. Right now the second biggest obstacle for new players--just after it not being D&D--is that it can take half an hour or more to create a character.
Get some more work done on the Great Midian Mapping Project. That's mostly graphics work now, as the primary research has been completed. So it will be more fun than work.
As I am now a player rather than GM, I seriously need to work on not being such a complete tool on the other side of the table. I may have some small talents at creating or running a game, but I'm a terrible player.
Send the Codex back through another round of edits, so that a third printing can happen.
Find an uninterrupted 24 hours so that I can exorcise some of these non-Midian demons flitting about my head.
1. Finish at least one of my RPGs currently in development hell, preferably before March. 2. Join another game, where I am not the only GM. 3. Blog more at (Shameless Plug)
* Get a full write-up of Twilight of the Gods done. * Start playing pen & paper RPGs again (my old group disbanded last summer) as a player. * GM a game for my family. * Get a vague outline done for an X-Com based RPG. * Write down my ideas for a Zombie game
Last year I did manage to begin gaming with real people again. One is a game I run and another is a game I get to play and I went from nothing for years to *BAM* gaming twice a week. Awesome! Just shows what can happen when you put it out to the universe.
2010??
Update my blog more. (Working on my blog keeps my creativity on point.)
Finish ANYTHING!@! (I had a terribly unproductive year last year -- or even the last few -- I demand of myself that I put something out this year -- something good!)
Reconnect with the online community. (I used to be pretty active, but have disappeared from the online world for some time now. I want to change that.)
Thanks for the encouragement. Actually, my RPG work has been moving forward nicely recently, and I feel like I'll be able to keep up with my blog for the time being too... so thanks!
