Ok hears the whole Idea! Sales figures show that January is the worst month for sales. Since many counties (by no means ALL) spend their cash En mass in Dec. this new month tends to be full of Not spending.

So Let not Spend. Spread the Free RPG love, Down load and play...hey it costs nothing

I was hoping that all of this international recession nonsense was going to kill Christmas, or at least reduce its economic impact a bit. Nope. Christmas still deforms the economy, and not in a good way.

IFRPGM is a good idea. I'll see if I cannot get something out by month's end.

Silly idea on the topic of free games month. is a free western themed FPS, based on the quake 3 engine. It should run on any computer we're currently using, and since the most people I've seen online is about 70 (across a dozen servers) its would be easy to find each other for a game. We just need to decide on a date and time. A meet, greet and perforate if you will.

We can excuse it as a look into emulating genre and the mechanical trade-offs of the combat system (ie faster reloading Schofiled vs more powerful Peacemaker) if we want to be academic about it.

I suppose if we miss out on January, we could start "April is the Coolest Month... for free games". (Of course, when is free not good mind you.) Oh right, when its unfinished. I probably should try to get something done by the end of the month, but my track record on that isn't so good...

I recommend the game: as my favorite free RPG of 2009 in honor of free RPG month.
