Hi folks,
I remember a controversy last year about few free games being submitted to the Free Games Category of the ENnies. It's the to submit stuff, so if you know or have created a free game in the last year, why not look into it?

They now charge to enter a nomination. Ennies are dead as far as I am concerned.

If your game is free totally.
I'm still going to do it for the pay for product I have because 5$ is worth it for that. If the product is free though I'd very hesitant to spend that money.

I'll blog about it soon but I don't really want a fight about it. The Ennies are more important as a marketing tool for commercial things so it's a bit like fighting a sponge. Except less satisfying.

Why don't we have a Free Games competition? All free games published in the last year are welcome to enter, then we can give awards for Best Art, Best Mechanics, Best Adaptation, Best Supplement, Best Open Game, etc.?

sounds like a plan, as long as quickstart rules don't win everything!
