I thought this was really cool, is a print on demand service for board games and card games. Now if you want custom cards for your game, you don't have to just say "A ace of spades means" you can make a card that says what you want it to.
I looked into just making cards. The artwork is entirely up to you, I don't think they use templates. The price of a deck wasn't bad either. There's a cost estimator and it says that a deck of 52 custom cards costs less than $8 or 5 pounds for the UK crew here.
I've been trying to put together a project to release through "The Game Crafter" for a while now...it's one of those many ideas on my backburner that I'll have to get around to finishing one of these days.
Yeah, Not happening with me. Succession got estimated at 36.00 a unit and that's just not workable at all. I'd have to sell it around 75 bucks to make sure that I could print another game and I don't think I can make a game that would make people want to buy it at that price point.
However, it might be workable for something like Factions. Hrm ... decisions, decisions.
I also do which isn't much, but it's enough for me.
