I'll be in Indy tomorrow to visit family but I also picked up a 4 day pass so I'm hoping to hang out. Maybe I'll see you there? I submitted an event but only just got the confirmation that it was accepted.

Game ID RPG1128826
Title Investigating the Ruins of Hef-elek-meser
Description Earth is in trouble and humanity's only option is a strange manufactured planet. While the builders of this huge planet seem to have abandoned it, there are already humans living there when Earth forces arrive, and most of them are not friendly. An introductory game run by the author.
Game System The Artifact
Rules Edition 2nd
Min Players 2
Max Players 6
Age Requirement Teen (13+)
Experience Required None (never played before)
Materials Provided Yes
Preferred Time 2011/08/05 07:00 PM
Event Duration 3.5

So at 7 PM I might be running a game . . . somewhere at Gencon. I really should find out where.
Even if you're not interested in playing stop by and wave, I probably shouldn't stop to talk or any players that do sign up might get angry at me.

Didn't get any bites for running the game, I must have put in too late for them to approve it quickly.

Gen Con itself was fun, I picked up a card game and some giant d10s. I found the Traveller books too late in the day and I was exhausted. If I would have found it earlier, I probably would have picked up a few books. I had a four day pass, but only went a day and a half. There were a lot of cool looking board games but were very expensive.

I've been to different Cons before, for very different industries, (Macworld, Stone, Star Trek, etc.) this was similar but busier. Some of the booths were completely enclosed by tables so you had to talk across them and I found that you couldn't easily talk to the exhibitors on the other side. I had some nice conversations with some of the smaller exhibitors though.

I enjoyed it. Worked my behind off though, so it was hard to get things done.

Lots of people enjoyed Geasa and Critical! so that's always something positive to take out of it.

Where were you? You're one of the only people here that I have some inkling as to what you look like, (other than Rob) so I was hoping I'd run into you. I went all over, I must have walked right past you at some point.

The funny thing is, in normal everyday life, if someone wants to know how to identify me all I say is "I'll be the one in the black fedora". That doesn't work at Gencon.
