Hello World!

Good morning fellow lifeforms!

I thought I'd drop by and introduce myself.

My name's Nils; I've been a gamer for about 26 years. I've (almost) always been a GM, and that's what I enjoy most about RPGs - come up with and present stories and settings to my players. Unfortunately, in recent years, I've only played very little myself. I compensate by building worlds which I do at my way too chaotic site, .

I also dabble in art (suck at that!) and most recently in game design. I guess it can be described as the "everybody-has-their-own-system-why-shouldn't-I"-syndrome, though figuring out the process and the science, if you will, behind it is really the goal for me. Well, part of it. Anyway, I found 1km1kt via Rob Lang's Most Excellent Weblog and decided to join in on the fun.

Plus, I am old enough to actually have owned a (mechanical) typewriter at one point. ;)

So, yeah.... Hi!

Hey Nils, great to see you here! Which one of your settings are you developing for an RPG (or all of them)?

Thanks both of you.

Emmet, right now I am still at the very basic and system-neutral parts. Like, figuring out what dice mechanics to use. But I intend to use this with the SF setting I've been working on. Ideally it would be fairly universal, though.

(if you are curious, the best way to get to the relevant bits is the game design category, http://enderra.com/category/game-design/ - but of course I'll post about it at some point too. I'd love feedback but always remember, I'm trying to figure this stuff out as I go along so if I make naive mistakes please have patience with me, hehe! :) )

About time! Lurker! ;)

Good to have you in the fold, Nils. To anyone checking this out, you must go and check out because the world builder there is superb.

I wonder if we should find the oldest, most curmudgeonly curmudgeon monkey here. Might be worth a custom title, perhaps "Be nice, I remember the war*".
