Here's a weird thing.

I'm running Icar tonight. Of course I am looking forward to getting round the table with chums and starting fights, taking names, blow stuff up but... I'd rather be creating more Icar stuff. I have a massive list of website and rule updates to do and I am desperate to get on with that. It's just a feeling today, rather than a long term thing. Some days I'd rather be making the game than playing it.

Humans are weird.

When I'm really in the flow, I'm perfectly content to just create. I don't worry about it if the guys aren't coming over this week to game.

Now, I don't remember wanting to skip a game to create, I usually use the games to try new stuff.

I've been there.

Sometimes creating games would be awesome fun if the players didn't get in the way and spoil things.

It's like working in retail, it'd be a great job if it weren't for the customers.
