Bit of a quick game to test the mechanics and idea out with the group, as I have yet to really work out character generation I am using pre-generated characters.

so folks an thoughts or advice?

Aim of the game is to make the game quick and to get as many different rolling situations so that the mechanics can be tested.

Don't worry about making sense with a story, just pick a few situations that you think would be really cool, where you want the system to shine. Then let the players change a stat. Crank it up to maximum and see how it effects the game. Does it create an imbalance? Does it amplify the fun or ruin it? If it's a good thing, encourage it. If it wrecks things try to find a way to plug the hole it causes.

Well we had a very short game with a few scenes. I have to say the mechanics did well, the players grasped the situation and puts some skill s to real good use. The system I found needs little trim just some adjustments for things I did not think about.

Player feedback as positive and the setting they found irresistible, even a little paranoid. There was even sadness when I wrapped things up as they wanted more - that made me really happy, treat em mean keep em keen. So in a fortnight they wanted to make their own characters - a great response!!

Future play tests will examine combat a lot more I think as there were events in the game that gave it a little trouble, and I would like to put the system in some real hard situations. O verall however

Good to hear! I also just finished up a playtest of a Supers game I'm working on followed by some brainstorming. We found a few things that needed adjusting (which is a good thing for a playtest to do).

Aside from the play test one of my players blew my mind with how to treat horses when camping for the night. Normally we tie them up and have a quick release a knot I learnt from my scouting days called a highwayman's hitch, the horse can pull as hard as it likes on the rope but the rope will break before its does yet the knot can be pulled from the other end and it undoes instantly. Well my players did something I have never seen before, they hobbled the horses tied a figure eight to all four legs and the horses could only move gently around yet still graze (the highwayman's hitch prevents them from grazing). I was amazed and awarded them my prestigious mind blown award.

I have worked with horses at two different thoroughbred studs, secretly I hate our equine friends. Most horses I dealt with are Thoroughbreds and therefore all i know is feed, clean, clean poop and walk / run in circles, oh and fyi thoroughbreds are as dumb as doorknobs.
