A huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders

I find that when I have a bunch of hobby activities on my plate, I tend to get snowed and find that I can't do any of them. The Icar Fleet Setting for me became such a massive roadblock that I found I felt guilty doing anything that was RPG related that wasn't that.

I would set aside an evening, sit down to work on some graphics, get no-where in half an hour and then play a PC game or something. Next time I sit down, the weight of the failure and all the previous ones press down. I could just knock-out a review but then I'd not be progressing with Icar and that bugged me.

It's done now, out of the way. Now I can get on with other things!

Do you have any creativity roadblocks that make it difficult for you to work on anything? Do you get suckered into playing console/PC games when creativity things get bogged down? How do you get past the wall at 66% of project completion?

For me, I run into issues with Depression, attention span, and work..... many time I find my self not only unable to work on any creative thing but even games tend to be hard to get into....it doesn't help when atm I'm working 58 hour weeks.

so trust me I'm with you on this

Depression is a horrible illness that is misunderstood and given not enough attention. You're very brave for admitting that, mate. Good on you. I hope you're coping OK and that you have the support of wonderful friends.

A 58 working week is a killer. It can really sap your life. I did 60 hour weeks for about 3 months last year and I was a zombie at home, did no creativity. If work is a grind, I think it's quadruply more difficult to be creative in the evening.

I see you're starting up the FoG PBP, which is ace! I enjoy reading those in my lunchtime. :)
