Hi alll,

I'm new here and Groffa suggested I put up my "stuff" for some feedback.
I've got a big disorganised PDF (that's in the process of being organised, and thus a new document will be made) that describes my long-time world of Khara Thel.

The world is written in a way to make it feel "alive" - at least more so than other games I've come across. So anything you'd like to add or suggest be changed (and in what way) will be useful. What I want others to get out of playing with Khara Thel is a feeling of familiarity yet there is a great potential for adventure.

Blimey, that's a lot to read! A massive and detailed setting. You've come to the right place. The challenge you have is making your game more accessible. It's a challenge I've had to face with .

May I recommend my , which might help you with your next version. I certainly found a lot of things I wanted to mention are already in my guide.

I'd add that you need to have a very well defined Header -> Sub-Header -> Sub-Sub-Header system as it can be difficult to work out what belongs to what. The other thing I would recommend for a big game is graphics. Particularly maps. I'd go further to say you need maps for a setting like this.

I'll have another look when you get the next version up and I'll definitely be following your blog.

Rob: when you say Header -> Sub-header -> sub-sub-header, do you mean Header/Footer type things? So it might say something at the top of the page, like:

pg. 72 Khara Thel - Iron Claw Gazette - City of Ferris

Graphics: yup, got a few. Now my challenge is the page-layout stuff. It's a grand project.

I'd avoid italic as a header unless it is larger than normal text because italics feel like they are less important than normal text.

OK - I've put up another draft of Khara Thel worldbook. Removed most of the game specific stuff. I did find it hard to describe armour-effectiveness, so I left numbers against armour to make them relative to each other. It may not work. Need another idea for that.

Included are maps and a few little pictures. Will keep working on another draft to make it even more organised.
