Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum and tonight have started to write a free fantasy RPG aimed at kids who have never played a pencil & paper RPG before, and this will ease them into the gameplay before they are daunted with something like D&D.

The idea is for the game to not be bogged down with insane complex rules and to just let kids get into the game, keeping things quite simple.

So I'm really looking for feedback on the game system so far.

Sorry if there's any typos, I kinda just whipped this out spur of the moment.

Here's the link:

Thanks!

it's a good start. It would be cool to include some sample monsters and maybe some spells for the wizard class.

I've made a list and brief description of the spells that the wizard can cast, havn't thought about monsters yet.

I plan to do a compete list of monsters with stats for the Dungeon Lord, also an adventure to ease the players in before they have to start making adventures of their own.

cool. It'd be nice if the monsters were cartoony or anime style. It's also easier with kids to use tropes or cliches, they love 'em. Such as the evil wizard has abducted the princess, the king wants you to enter into his underground dungeon and free her!

Hey Ben! (DemonTentacle), welcome to 1km1kt! That's a good start to a game! Perhaps you would like to check out my .

I would use a spell checker on it too. People tend to review bad spelling rather than the game itself!

One thing about the system that worries me is that combat is all about how good someone is at evading, not how good they are at attacking. Perhaps you give everyone an attack and evade attribute and then combat is Roll + Attack vs Roll + Evade. Then, when I improve my character - to make them better at attacking, I know I will hit more.

The other thing I recommend is to make lots of small changes and update the game often. Keep posting up and we'll give you feedback!
