Hi all.

Well, Sci-Fi Beta Kappa's bubbling away nicely, with an estimated publication date of Indiecon 2013 or shortly after. So what am I doing, sitting with my feet up? Hell no!! I've set to work on my next game already. Provisionally entitled Where The Heart Is, it examines relationship issues through the prism of a multi-parent household. Check it out .

Let me know what you think.

Nighty night...
Leo

Thanks dude. Not sure how it'll go down in the US, where it seems as if the merest whiff of homosexuality, abortion or any kind of 'alternative' lifestyle and sections of even the mainstream media fire off lightning bolts at you, and where some people think even D&D is the embodiment of evil .

Interesting new game - drawing on personal experience or inspired from the telly?

Ok, I've made the first (minor) change, reducing the generator dice from d8s to d6s for the adults, and from d12s to d10s for the children. So the numerical range of characters is now adults: 3-5 (3-6 if you include INPCs) and children: 5-7 (5-10 including INPCs). I'm toying with the idea of adding aspects (controlling, jealous, low self-esteem etc.) and maybe triggers such as a character mentioning your character's childhood illness or arrest for shoplifting, etc., or another character's aspect, e.g. 'controlling', being brought out in play triggers e.g. 'resentment'.

I would suggest some sort of personality chart type thing, where each character may choose some sort of personality. From there on, there should be a couple of different goals for each character. Say, for example, a character has a, for lack of a better word, slutty personality. They could manifest this by taking a secret lover, or by being very clingy to their husband. A character with a materialistic personality may hoard money, or possesions, or steal.
