I am putting together a blog post about free pocketmods. I have a few: Wyred, Gaslite (although the link is dead) and a few others. Do you have a pocketmod game? Show me!

Per usual, its a work in progress, but a new version of Sputnik Lost (a one page game I wrote years ago) is proceeding as a pocket mod, or more specifically, about six of them. A book of rules/character record, a GM's guide, extra character sheets, adventures, a technical manual, and "the main event". Here are links to and , which are the only required ones, - each player gets a copy of the rules/character sheet in the "training manual", while some extra info and game hooks are in the director's book.

Spies on the B side should be a pockemod, but I'm still editing it to get the proper seven pages in 24 point font + cover format. Its a bunch of secret agents who move about under the guise of a traveling rock show.

Emmett, did you Google it, old chum? ;-)

Pocketmods are a way of folding a piece of paper to make it an 8 page booklet. Perfect for super-lite RPGs. Or note jotters. Or PDAs. Or lots of things. There are a few paid RPGs out there that sell for a USD but I'm on the lookout for some freebies, like Mutants and Machineguns that I reviewed on Tuesday.

I am tempted to make a pocketmod version of Icar. I think CA should do a pocketmod of Dead and Back (when he's got the next version out) and it would be cool to see an Artifact pocketmod. It's only a page. How hard can it be?

My favourite one is the Old School Hack version of DINO PIRATES OF NINJA ISLAND! It has a nice little place on my shelf.
