Any Indie Developers Interested in a Group Table at a local convention?
Posted: Fri Dec 29, 2006 11:04 amThere's a new convention starting up in my home town in June this year, and I believe they are still looking for stalls. It's called the UK Games Expo () and is literally 15 minutes from where I live. I'm thinking of borrowing a couple of display stands and renting a small table there, but it's not economically viable or worthwhile for me to do this simply for my own company, which is extremely small and almost non-profit-making in nature. Are there any other independent RPG developers out there who might be interested in sharing the cost and placing a few products on display?
It would be done under a neutral name, not my own company name, so everyone would be able to have their own details represented. Costs would depend on how many people were interested and how large a table was required. I believe a reasonably sized display would cost around £100 UK / $200 American between all participants, and I'd be hoping for at least three other companies to share the table and the costs with. Advertising posters and the like are something that can be discussed at a later date. I'd be offering my own services in looking after the stall freely, although any additional voluntary help would be greatly appreciated.
