I am looking at improving the space combat system in icar but am at something of a loss on how to do it. I want something that is more descriptive than number crunchy but still retains an element of tactics. Have you seen this done well anywhere before? Any ideas on good ways to solve it? The last thing I want is for it to turn into a wargame. I like wargames but I don't want to play one when roleplaying.
