It's cool to see a theory validated,but I'm waiting for the "That's weird" moment, that moment when all the best discoveries are made. Validating a theory closes the door on possibilities. The cool thing is that once the validation comes, there's something that shows up unexpectantly. That's where the new science shows up.

Incidentally, the method they used to detect the waves was something I wrote about in the quick start adventure for The Artifact for detecting space-time warping. My device was hand held and not 4 Km long though. I was talking about larger waves apparently. I didn't know about this project, bouncing a laser in a vacuum and watching the doppler shift just sounded like a good idea.
