FOSS Equality Petition
Posted: Mon Aug 29, 2011 5:10 pmOk, I've started a petition (petty me) because I can't use FOSS in a computer literacy class despite it being equitable (I can spreadsheet at a professional level just as well in Libre Office as in Microsoft Excel), so I'm stuck using Microsoft Office for it, which I don't care to be locked into buying (or using the "Starter" edition) forever and ever amen.
So yeah, you can read it, but in summary: I'm petitioning the US government to allow use of FOSS software in any federally subsidized institution.
If you guys wanna join (I know a lot of guys here are in the UK), please do. I'll try to add on other governments as they get petitioners.
