Hello fans of free rpg products,

Just last month I published a book of system-agnostic random mutation tables. It's called The Metamorphica, and you can read about it

If you want the free pdf version, you can go It is also available as a printed, perfect-bound book (160 pages, digest-sized) from lulu.com, for the cost of production and shipping.

You can use this book for post-apocalypse stuff, superheroes, mutant plants and animals, dark fantasy chaos gods, demons, aliens, mutant hordes, psychics, genetic crossbreeding experiments, all sorts of stuff. There's no rules like "+1 STR" or anything, but I figure it should be pretty easy to translate the descriptions into whatever game you like playing.

Hey, thanks for looking!

Thanks, Rob!

I hope other people can get some use out of it. I tried to make it pretty comprehensive so I could carry fewer books to a game session.

I started this at 16:20 yesterday, and probably spent about 8 hours actually working on it (an hour yesterday, and then sevenish hours today).

I hope you enjoy it, all feedback would be great!

Eeee, is that a bot taking credit for johnstone's work? Burn the false prophet!!

But thanks for bumping it, I missed it when it was first posted - it's a great comprehensive piece, I'm pretty sure I'll make good use of it next time we play anything with mutations!
