Not exactly; it was created independently of the competition, then entered as a 72-hour entry.

EDIT: I crashed early last night, so I couldn't get the stuff up:

http://loreshapers.net/blog/loreshapers-2015-contest-week-1-update/

has more details.

EDIT: This would probably also be a good time to remind everyone that the 24-hour portion of the competition ends on the 10th.

"Meeting strangers" and I did not even make a star trek rpg. Maybe I will make an 72 hours rpg too.

12 hours left on the 24-hour compo, and another 9 days and change left on the 72-hour one, in case anyone's interested.

12 hours? It's 9PM where I live, so it's a relive there is still so much time.

I'm not complaining, but I think that the 24h competition should last longer than 10 days, especially since half the days are overlapping with the Christmas vacation (some of us may  have family obligations). And, it would give the time to gather more entries, which would be great! A full month would be good, imo.

Ah, also, I like how the title of this thread is "24h RPG Competition 2014". It leaves open the opportunity for another contest within 2015... :D

Thats what I thought too. I was quite suprised that the day I started was the last day of the competition.

Yeah, next year I'll definitely run it longer; part of the reason for the length is that I discussed it with Chris Stevens back when I was still planning to start up in December, and I'd already set some outlined end-dates. Unfortunately, I had my own family in town and really spent all of my free time just trying to set up the site.

It was also loosely setup to coincide with when I'll have the most free time to manage the competition. Since I won't be a student next year, I'll have full obligations at any time in January, so there's no reason not to just run it out.

A final announcement recapping the competition is now online! Good job to everyone who participated! If I forgot to include something, please let me know.

Bah. I'm way behind on judging, mostly because I had a couple prospective judges who backed out on me. I've found a few alternative judges (normally I'd ask around here for judges, but since we have community members do submissions I drew from my own local contacts), but I didn't get them judging quickly enough. Hopefully I'll have final results by the end of the month.
