Are you a bot, shane?

As a kid I thought bots would be really intelligent. How disappointed my inner 8 year old is, considering they can't even get grammar correct.

I would be tempted to write a bot - not for selling anything but for the Academic joy of doing so. Sadly, natural language is a well trodden path in AI and most of the algorithms aren't very interesting. You end up with a lot of quite inane drivel...

I am half-Bot/half-Ent Lumberjack. Hows that for a class/race combination?

But yeah, seriously, when we were kids, the Turing tests were super advanced, like Voight Kampf, now that we've gotten to the future we find that a Turing test is being able to retype a string of squiggly letters.
