Hi everyone.
I'm busy working on One Hundred Flowers right now (I have to run out and buy some books on Zhanguo Shidai history), but I just wanted to make a request.
A lot of names have been thrown around with some admiration and nigh worship recently, including some people who want to participate in the contest. And saying "hey, I like your games, glad to be a co-participant" is a great thing. But open hero-worship and self deprecation (like saying "I'm afraid to compete with you") just serves to drive folks away on both sides.
One of the best things about the IGC contest is that people with all levels of experience can compete on an even playing field (indeed, historically, published designers have often participated but never won the contest.) Let's try to keep it that way, by toning down the hero-worship to a bare minimum.
Thanks all! I'm seeing some really awesome dishes, and just wish I had time away from my own work to comment on them all.
