OK, here is a sample character sheet for my game, "The Dinner Party"

And here is a sheet with information about what you can do during the game:

Read, enjoy, comment. More to follow, including a rules summary and (time permitting) a list of 70's themed "Small Talk" topics.

OK, I now have the first four characters written up:

The more time I spend writing this game, the darker it gets... read the sheets and you'll see how.

Man this is so cool! I really like it.

Typo on the Hostess sheet, under Games "bob" is "Bib".

Thanks jmstar, I think it's fixed now.

Document has now been updated (use the above link or click ) and all eight characters are present.

I need to get the main rules done next (or no submission!) The Play Aid doesn't quite cover everything.

To keep your tastebuds primed, here is my draft of the main rules document:

Still to do:

- List of authentic 1970's dishes for the meal
- The Small Talk topic list
- I need to revisit the character sheets and play aid and check them for consistency with the rulebook
- A separate rules summary handout would be nice
- All round proofreading at the end

I'm hoping to finish this today, but it's a long haul.

That last link gives me nothing, Doug.

Edit: ah - correction. Clicking on it, nothing happens. Downloading and opening in Acrobat works just fine. I've been mucking with my machine recently - maybe it's me.

Is anyone else having the same problems with these files?

In the meantime, here's the menu for the Hostess to choose from:

I'm working on the Small Talk next.

And my last file for tonight is the player handout.

Tomorrow morning, I'm going to try to redraft the character sheets and Play Aid to make the rules more clear. Then it's time for the final proof reading before submission.

I'm on the last straight before I reach the finish line, and it feels good.
