Howdy again, everyone.
Before we all wander off in our separate directions, I wanted to reiterate some things.
FireWater Productions is up and running. We have a simple, but up-and-running Web site at
BarQuest! is indeed slated for production We've figured out how to cut most corners in productions—I am not getting a loan of 18 to 22 K just for a gosh-durn product. I think that's too much.
The idea I've got is that FireWater will help anyone produce their game and get it in print. Now, we're not perfect—we use saddle-stapling and plastic combs instead of perfect binding, a little like Cheap-Ass, BUT we use color covers and we put a lot of effort into lay-out to make it looked professionally built. When I can afford a perfect-binding printing press, I will.
Basically, someone comes to me with an idea and I take it for a license—three years, with a majority of the profit going to me, and the creator gets a fat royalty... Anywhere from 10-20 percent. We promote the hell out of it for three years and then, the license reverts back to the Creator to do with as he or she wishes. I own no rights after three years. The system can then be relicensed by me or given to another company.
PDF is nice, but I'm offering to get you into the Convention circuit. My next convention will be AlbaCon, where Chaos U., G.R.UN.T.S, and a working copy of BarQuest! will all be demo'd. We're still working out artists, but I have two tattoo artists interested in working for me, and I suspect that their black-and-whites will be as good as anything out there.

Good luck to all of you!
