I like the sound of this. When I first started thinking about my entry I had thought long and hard about something along the lines of "Repent, Harlequin!" Said the Ticktockman. I think you really need the ticking clock too ;)

Absolutely. I'm definately suggesting that the clock have a real "tick-tock" about it.

I'd go with Euthymia.

I like the drinks idea - especially if it has Soma-like connotations.

Maybe if you don't drink through the whole hour, you character gets more unstable, like in THX-1138.

The name is very melodic and mysterious.

One thought - what if there were two statistics that were opposed (think Trollbabe, where you divide a D10), and the level of liquid in your glass represented your choice? "Full" would denote one powerful condition, but drinking to get closer to "empty" would be tempting and necessary. Of course, the cool part is that you couldn't go back to full easily...maybe the GM has a big pitcher though, just waiting to reward you for something awful.

Just to clarify, Graham, is this a drinking game? Cause that would be cool beyond words.

Be sure to put in breaks for going to the little boys' room :)

Since you're asking: "Euthymia" made me think of 1) the Eurythmics, 2) Euthanasia, 3) Thyme.
