You're using the Seven Ages of Man to divide up the time?

That is fantastic.

What's the function of Steel? It seems to me that you're almost closer to using Team.

Heya,

Awesome idea. I'm with Graham, though. Steel doesn't seem all that important to your game atm.

Peace,

Using the seven ages of man to divide up the session is genius.

But 7 solid hours of in-character roleplaying? That's fucking hardcore, man. I suggest you include strong support for structuring each hour, or the session may start to flag. Or maybe I'm just being a wimp...

I believe that each of the seven ages/sessions should have their own deck (or at least table). These variables will serve to give players a jumping off point, much like the ingredients in Game Chef.

Example, for the first age of man.

We were born in a time of:
- war
- plague
- civil unrest
- pestilence
- peace
- political upheaval
- renaissance
- religious oppression
- unprecedented natural disasters
- trouble
- exploration
- underground movements
- treachery
- instability
- great achievement

My parents were:
- unknown to me
- slaves
- nobles
- good-hearted
- simple people
- evil
- weak
- simple minded
- my heroes
- victims of their own ignorance
- cold & calculating

We were thrown/drawn together:
- by fate
- by the plans of the Immortals
- by our family ties
- by our loyalties to the Crown
- by our love for our country
- when disaster struck
- as orphans
- as slaves
- as students
- as refugees
- as prisoners

And in your last age...
You will die by/of:
- treachery
- the knife
- old age
- poison
- a bullet
- an explosion
- an old wound
- the hand of your enemy
- the hand of your best friend
- the hand of your lover
- a broken heart
- your own hand

What I'm shooting for are concepts that players can work into their roleplaying - that they can elaborate on. For those lists that affect all characters, as in, "we were born...", players will debate and then secretly vote for which one they wish to be true. The one which has the most votes becomes true. And the number of votes will equal the intensity at which the fact plays out. Any ties result in the tied things becoming true.

More later. I'm working up a basic character sheet with all variables and tips and tricks on it for all ages.
