Incidentally, I wrote a race-track board (tile?) game recently that could be easily adapted for the races here, using dice. If you're interested in looking at it with a view to plundering what you want, let me know.

I think that's perfect.
And use Bryan's stuff as well.
And, perhaps, things you buy could prevent against things on the incident chart. (e.g. an incident could be "Fire", but you can guard against it with a "Fire Extinguisher"). Or something like that. I know nothing about racing, though.
