Congratulations and a request for help [The Glass Bead Game]

First of all, I'd like to congratulate everyone who participated in Game Chef this year. Although I didn't have as much time as I'd hoped to go over the entries, those I did see impressed me with their sheer amount of creativity.

To the finalists and eventual winners, also, my congratulations. None of the finalists were in my review list, but going over them afterwards I was completely blown away by the quality of the work. Incredible stuff, all around.

I've gone through the reviews of my own work that people were kind enough to post, and I find myself agreeing with the majority of what was said -- particularly that the end of the rules become a bit vague and could use some more examples.

Of particular interest, though was redivider's remark my rules aren't really *the* Glass Bead Game at all, but a tiny subset inspired by Hesse's rules. From the moment I initially posted my idea, I'd intended to use some other name. Unfortunately, the deadline came and went and I was unable to come up with anything new.

And so, attempting to tap into that massive well of creativity I witnessed over the last few weeks, I turn to you. :)

Does anyone have a better title for my ruleset? I'd of course be glad to give thanks and credit to any title I end up using.

Thanks!

Hey,

I liked "The Glass Bead Game" as a title. It sounded sort of quirky. I don't mind if it's not the game that Hesse described.

I have a feeling this forum's going to be fairly quiet from now on. Do you want to take the discussion over to Story Games () or The Forge ()?
