Anyone want to run anything?

I'm kinda in the mood for something serious, but far more interested in running than playing something.

Anyone up for doing something? I will run if needed ... I just need to get my playing chops back in gear.

Its only a few days until Passover, so I'm a bit busy at the moment, but I'm up for just about anything.

While I do have a few old campaign notes lying around, they're mostly for systems that probably don't work that well over the new without some major reworking. Notably, an epic 30 year Robotech storyline, though the Mekton stuff is a little hard as well (map based/lots of rolling combat games are a bit hard in a forum). I might be able to make some approximations in Fudge.

Otherwise, I can try to think of something in a more traditional vein. Some fantasy game based on one of the systems on 1km1kt.net ( would probably be the simplest) could be set up easily enough. Or maybe something more in the vein of Fallout or Blade Runner?

Pick some genres and then lets go on from there.

Since you're probably sick of my own self-aggrandizement, is there a game one of you have written that would work well?

I'm up for playing anything not overly complicated. Actually, I've been skimming the Dead and Back PDF lately, so I'm pretty much up for Fallout/Mad Max/grim-future-whats-that-lets-shoot-it-before-it-eats-me-cool-I-found-a-new-leather-jacket-and-some-radaway-oh-cool-computer-it's-got-dos-5.0 type of games.

EDIT: How about a zombie breakout during Earth Hour?

You guys go on without me for now. I'm in the middle of busyness. I would toss this in the ring for consideration. I took some of the things JK had mentioned about running a PBP game and then got some great suggestions from the guys at RPG.net about how to run a PBP game and what should be structurally different about a game in this medium and condensed them . Maybe you guys already know that stuff but it was some new ideas for me.

Totally down for post apocalyptic.

What game are we gonna play? Again, mostly interested in just doing something.

The is easy enough to make characters for, and has all the right aesthetics - but combat in a forum game is going to need some system system tweaking. (As the review points out, its rather wargame like with both models and a calculator required.)

An old (2005) Game Chef Entry called "" might be perfect for our needs. Post Apoc, quick character generation (more precisely - already has premade characters and relations - and diceless.

I could try running something based on D&B or Twilight 2000 if the interest is there. Probably would recast the later in FUDGE or Fuzion since I doubt too many of you know its system. (Short synopsis - WW-III happens circa 1995, goes limited nuclear 1997 or so, and by 2000 all the armies are functionally running on empty, if not completely out of fuel. Player's are stuck in Europe, and trying to find a way home through an environment of mercenaries, bandits, fallout, and the occasional soviet who doesn't realize everyone has given up.)

I game for a game.

Be best to have something "dice-less" for forums, but as long as
as there is a copy of the rules somewhere to look at I'm game for anything. :)
