Vance curses and makes his way towards Alex and Patrice, knowing full well that this was stupid but also knowing full well that he wasn't going to save his bacon by himself. Maybe when they got closer he could find a way to close the door completely, making sure that they didn't find themselves floating off in space.

No offence taken. You do what you think is best and I'll play along with it too. We're not going along hand and hand singing songs here. ^_^

Besides, it's fun playing that idiot from time to time. Note this is what I'm going to be spending a PEP on.

Sorry for the Delay.

Alex gingerly steps out on to the leading edge of the airlock and with one hand holing onto the hatch opening he
reaches out with his improvises "gaff" to snag Patrice's form . . . the first jab misses it's mark. Focusing he ignores
Vance's efforts at muscling the door and makes another attempt . . .

Alex let's loose a very un-heroic scream and flails his arms falling back and sliding forward at the same- time . . . Vance
looks up just in time to see Alex floating from the hatch-way as Patrice's body slowly turns like some gruesome ballet
dancer showing her frozen, terror wide eyed face trough the broken visor . . . Vance knowing full well grabs Alex's wrist
just before he floats from reach while still pulling on the door.

"I got ya . . ." the thud of the door clamping him against the side of the shuttle knocks the words from his mouth.
Vance tighten's his grip on Alex who does likewise clamping his hand around Vance's wrist. The pair then look . . . and
see Vance has gotten pinned by the suddenly freed door . . . hanging half into space and half in the shuttle.

Alex: -0 PEP / -0 MAP / -2 AR (Cur: 2 PEP / 5 MAP / 30AR)
Vance: -1 PEP/ -0 MAP / -2 AR (Cur: 4 PEP / 5 MAP / 30 AR)

Alex Bid No Points on his attempt to Rescue Patrice, but gains +1 From a Successful Plan
Result: 3T + 1MAP = Failure (Severe Complication)
- Freaks when he sees Patrice's Frozen Face . . . and slips from the shuttle . . .

Vance Bid 1 PEP to Force the Door Closed . . .
Result: 1H + 2 T + 1 PEP = Success (Serious Complication)
- Pulling hard on the door just as Alex slips into space Vance grabs him but the door slides closed pinning him.

Vance grunts and half shouts, half whispers, "I told you. Christ, now help me get this door opened." With the one hand that's still inside, Vance tries to open the door so that he can pull Alex back in.

1 PEP spent to get the door opened and then just regular to get us inside because it shouldn't be that much more difficult.

Alex grabs onto the door and planting his feet on the side of the shuttle lifts with his legs. "The door won't seal" the collar is blown out. Something made the failsafes um, fail. It could be some freak accident but I doubt it, somebody sabotaged the shuttle." Alex tells Vance. "This isn't looking good."

Vance grunted again, getting ready to pull on the door and yank himself and Alex inward, "Don't care about ... seal. Just want a barrier."

Alex gains his footing just as Vance tries to force the door back, but the exertions are for nothing as his single
hand hold slips. Vance takes a steadying breath and looks at Alex who squats down apparently attempting to us
his legs to assist . . . they both feel the vibration and notice the emergency lights inside flicker . . .

"ARGHHHH!!!" Vance feels the door suddenly start to press down upon him . . . Alex hurriedly adjusts his grip and
throws everything his has against the hydraulics of the closing door . . . another shudder and suddenly the
door reverses but only slightly. As fast as it reversed and slid up it just as quickly jams in place moving no further.

The space is enough for Vance to crawl backwards into the shuttle, and just enough for Alex to crawl into the shuttle.

They look at each other both knowing full well theses exertions are costing them precious air. Vance kicks the
door jam and notices the access panel is slightly loose. Pulling it off he easily sees the problem . . . one of the
gears has slipped, if he can cause the gear to slip forward the door may close.

In the mean time Alex returns to the shuttle's terminal, maybe if he can get the auxiliary systems booted he could
possible get the cabin sealed and pressurized . . . at least for a little while.

Alex: -0 PEP / -0 MAP / -4 AR (Cur: 2 PEP / 5 MAP / 26 AR)
Vance: -1 PEP /-0 MAP / -4 AR (Cur: 3 PEP / 5 MAP / 26 AR)

Vance: Bid 1 PEP to Push open the door . . .
Result:3T + 1 PEP = Failure (CRITICAL COMPLICATION)
Vance while pulling in Alex also tries to push up on the door . . . with no effect, in fact his actions
somehow trigger an backup system that suddenly starts the close door cycle . . .

Alex: No Bid but attempts to help Vance get the door open . . .
Result: 2H + 1T = Success (Minor Complication)
Even though the close cycle starts to run Alex is able to force the door back . . . jamming it open,
but only open enough to crawl through . . .

Alex begins to reboot the computer once more in verbose mode. He watches as the individual config files load. He watches each signal OK at being initialized until the comm inits and then the network. Shortly after that the configs keep initializing as FAILED.

"Something is happening after the comm system goes live. There's traffic in and out on the comm network. But we're on the dark side of the moon, it should be near impossible for anyone to be signaling us."

Alex watches as the system comes up and then crashes again. He decides to boot the system into single user mode and disable the network config purposefully disabling their computer from talking to the outside world.

Alex will spend 3 map on getting the shuttle back up and running

Vance floats there, glad that it doesn't look like any permanent damage was done by the door. The feeling of your body kind of putting itself back into shape was something pleasant, a reminder that you were still alive despite that near brush with death.

He peripherally noticed Alex going for the controls, it didn't really matter at the moment. All that really mattered was his breath coming in, and going out. It was still happening, and it was something to relish. Not for too long though, there was only so much oxygen left that he had to life off of. There had to be something here that they could use to help them. This was a cargo ship after all, and not everything was just floating about ready to get sucked out when the door blew.

Vance is spending 1 MAP on searching what's left of the cargo for something useful.

Alex punches at the terminal keys with his bulky gloves and gets the system to boot
in single user mode. Taking his time he slowly starts re-intializing various shuttle system
such as navigation, propulsion, and environmental controls. He watches with baited breath
as each item comes back online without issue that is until he starts the final pre-system debug
program . . .

"NO NO NO NO NO!!!" Alex slams his gloved fist on the top of the terminal as he helplessly watches
the a program designed to prevent and correct errors, burn through the shuttle's systems charring every
code . . . in desperate frustration he flips the main breaker killing all power to the computers and hopefully
saving at least a portion of the shuttles main-frame.

Vance pays Alex's actions little notice as he sifts through the over tunred contents of the cargo hold.
He is happy that apparently the loading dock crew did secure everything, but he sighs in frustration
when finding a "Propellant Pack" he realises nothing was stowed securely. It was tied down just enough
to keep from floating free, and in the tumble everything got knocked around badly.

He hears Alex's outburst but continues sifting through the mess eventually finding . . .

2 Spare AR tanks (Half full = 17 AR Each)
3 Propellant Panks (Control Mods Damages)**
Some extra Comm Equipment - also damaged
A Couple extra helmets, two EVA Tethers, and rescuse harness . . . none stored properly.

Lifting one of the helmets he notices a baggie inside . . .

"You gotta be kidding me?" Vance pulls out the bag as he curses . . . it's full of little white pills.

NOTE: I'll post some info on the "Propellant Packs" by tomorrow. I have to workout
what they do and how that will inpact the rules . . . in a quick and dirty way :)

Alex: -0 PEP / -3 MAP / -1 AR (Cur: 2 PEP / 2 MAP / 25 AR)
Vance: -0 PEP / -1 MAP / -4 AR (Cur: 3 PEP / 4 MAP / 25 AR)

Alex: Bid 3 MAP on terminating the outside link and rebooting the shuttle.
Result: 1H + 2T + 3 MAP = Success (Severe Complication)
Alex is able to reboot the system, but as he starts to re-install opertaion root commands
the environmental contol system gets deleted.

Vance: Bid 1 MAP on a cargo bay search for useful items.
Result: 1H + 2T + 1 MAP = Success (Severe Complication)
He does find some useful items but they were not securely stowed and suffered enough damage
in the tumble to make them inoperable without repairs.

Check Flips to See what is in the hold: (If the Result was a Success Item Was Located)
Spare AR Tanks: 2H + 1T = Yes (Half Empty = 17AR)
Propellant Tanks: 3H = Yes (Controls are broken)*
Mining Equipment: 1H + 2T = No
Comm Equipment: 3H = Yes (Bashed Around)
Food Supplies: 1H + 2T = No
EVA Gear (spare helmets, tethers): 3H = Yes
Narcotics: 2H + 1T = Yes
Medi Gear: 3T = No

Propellant Packs:
- Each Pack contains enough propellant to generate 10 units of thrust.
- Each unit of Thrust can increase/reduce an individuals speed by 1 mpm (meter per minute)
Example Alex is floating to a communication satelite at 5 mpm. He engages the pack for
one unit of thrust thereby increase his speed to 6 mpm.

- Thust is used like MAP / PEP. Once Spent it is gone.
- Does not a require a Check Flip to use.
