Another new model WIP

I keep doing high resolution renders of models only to find out that they look awful at high resolution. The extra detail gained by going from 72DPI to 300DPI really shows up the bits of the model I hurriedly slammed together. This weekend I went through a few cool and used the new found knowledge to update the Arms 5 assault rifle. The Arms 5 is a good starter rifle so the model needs to be good. This model has loads of new techniques used on it but you'd need to be something of LW nerd to spot them. The textures haven't been done yet, this model is just in some basic colouring.

Very nice mate, like the bezeled facets on the (guess) flux cable between the main weapon and the launcher...
I'm getting worried that my submissions will be looking increasingly shabby against these

Thanks Byrn! I am thinking about putting together a tutorial on how to slap these together because I use a few simple principles over and over.

Oh, and yes, they are flux cables. The generator is stored in the upper part and the grenade is fired on a rail gun principle using doped materials.

ah looks very nice! as i like the older ones as well i jusy might end up useing both! after all if you look at diferent
year models side by side differances can be seen, and after all the Scavies arms locker isn't going to be sporting
the latest showroom model! now when you say a railgun drop load sstem i take it that the UGL muzzel loads rather
than breech loads.
