Randolph, your campaign sounds cool. I might just be borrowing those ideas for the next one I run! :)

I will keep the frontier feeling of the Scav Setting. I hope that Anadar in version 4 will really be an example cluster. I am including a lot of resources for GMs to create their own Clusters. So the players would start in Anadar but then they can always travel outside to another cluster - of the GM's design.

I am including 4 'getting started' missions into the version 4 setting but that will be the subject of another post!

i'd pleased if you did! i call the battle site Lima 46 ( no reason), and up till now its been quite literaly legendary.
it got into the urban legend circet by the simple formula of "my brother knew a guy who was the cousin of the guy who bunked with the guy who was on watch when the last dispach came in..." and of course all documentation was lost in a Droid attack.
the site was a deep space rendvouzes point well away from any inhabited system to prevent back tracking by the
Droid. now someone has stumbled upon it...do they work it alone? recruit another scav ship or two and run the risk of betrayel? and wouldn't the old Dragon Lady herself Captain Tao be oh so interested in all that Droid tech?
heheheh. this may also lead to another golden find....i have a copy of one of Metamorphasis Alph to Omega
centered around the starship WARDEN a generational colony ship remerablely like those the Grangers are slated to begin building only larger!
that one i'm planning to run like an old fashiond D &ND dungeon crawl wheare the pc's explore the "dungeon"
bring the loot home and go back again while trying not to let anyone follow them back to the place.
or just what do you think the (WARDEN) would be worth to the Grangers?
still decideing which is the chicken and which is the Egg.

Sounds like you've nailed the big choices that Icar was supposed to present. I also like your balance of freedom and missions. I do the same thing, except I try and present the missions as 'free choice' because my players simply won't be railroaded!

The best thing about sandbox gaming is that you don't have to decide which is the chicken and which is the egg just yet. There may come a time in the campaign where you have to make that decision to help the story along. Until then, leave it open!
