Society2 Book Notes

I'm reading through the Society book and just had some thoughts. I know that the current push is v4 so this can be shelved until a convenient time.

First one, the table on page 31 and 32 is a bit jumbled. I made sense of it after a minute or two, but it should eventually be fixed.

On page 33, the list of facts and figures could be re-ordered to give a sequence of events from take off to light jump. IMHO this made more sense to me.

Unless otherwise stated by the spacecraft sheet, it takes 4 hours to go from the planet surface to Low Orbit.
From Low to High Orbit takes a very small amount of time and can be ignored.
On Grav, it takes 10 minutes to travel between a planet and a moon.
On Grav, it takes 1 hour to travel between planets.
A craft must be 1 hour outside the system (outer-most planet) before it can light jump.
A Light Jump takes 1 Hour.
A ship’s light jump speed gives the number of cluster squares travelled in a single jump.
A cluster can be considered to be 20 cluster squares across.

on page 12, what is the Shakespear graphic for. It says "corporations can't afford to be evil", I don't understand how that relates to Shakespeare.

And just a question, Is there anything available that gives Droid stats?

Hey Onix, thanks for the feedback. All the society book is now called "background" in Version 4. I'll see if any of your excellent feedback still applies (the bit about space travel might).

Droid stats will be introduced in the Fleet Setting (although I would pass them onto a GM if they're interested). The reason for that is that they aren't supposed to be something you should be fighting right now.

Oh, ok I had read through the background but it was a little while ago and I didn't know if the Society book was just more in depth information. Some of it seemed to be or maybe I just didn't remember what I read in v4
