Just doing some last minute copy editing an playtesting, but overall it is a go and very popular with test audiences. I moved it to another link because I was having problems with scribd.

Better updates found here:

Thanks! Being that it deals with the mythology of the Ghetto, I was aiming for a blend of elements from the 70's, 80's and 90's!

Alright, some first impressions of Ghettopocalypse:

Setting & Art: blaxploitation with sci-fi decorations. The setting is about as deep as a Saturday-morning cartoon, which is about right, given the artwork. The artwork sets the tone well, but the game could benefit from more setting bits. Mood is not enough, except maybe for blaxploitation enthusiasts.

Areas of Conflict:
pecking order - every social relation involves establishing this
resources - gaining resources means being able to get more gear

Bling & the Social Order
The bonuses on equipment may seem odd at first, but work out in the game. A lot of them would be purely psychological (confidence), but it plays into the social structure of the game. The person with more bling has more bonuses, and so will likely win, so should not be trifled with. Seriously, a lot more games need this.

Stereotypes
Given it's a blaxploitation, using stereotypes to define characters is particularly appropriate. The game might lose its humour if characters had too much depth and players started to develop empathy for them. At the same time, I don't think the race theme wasn't played quite right. It needs to be more than just different races for characters. "The Man" needs a stronger presence in NPC roles.

System
I'll have to look more closely at the x6 system, but a tailored system could have used attribute names that better evoked the game's themes.

Thanks for the comments!

I like your analogy to a saturday morning cartoon! The game should be like brightly colored, fun candy, sction packed and perhaps even zany at times. Setting and Mood where areas that seriously need work.

I like you idea about more of The Man and tweaking the names of the x6 attributes! In the future I hope to work my own system, I used x6 because I had a month!

Again, thanks for taking the time to look it over!
