She grins ear to ear. Then signals an attendant with a pitcher of water to fill your taller bowl with water. She then takes a drink and places the cup on the table. She then takes your hand holding the stew bowl looks into your eyes and guides it over to the table and places the bowl on the table.

Do you allow her to do this?

[Note to self don't ask "Are you coming on to me Mrs. Robinson?"... None of these characters would understand jokes about "The Graduate"]

Mutter a quick blessing for food under my breath since I've been interrupted before, but I don't want to make a scene by refusing and I'm not sure what to be doing otherwise...

A quick glance to my right - what are the diplomats doing?

The Diplomats are trying to follow along with the Tapestry story. The images are unusual and not always self explanatory. Reel occasionally comments on them but that's no help to Zivka.

When the bowl is put on the table the girl just looks over at the tapestry. Then you realize she's not really looking at the tapestry, She's looking at Reel.

There is the sound of a gasp behind you and then a platter hits the floor. Everyone turns to see what happened and looks up at an woman attendant that has her hands up by her face and fruit all over her feet. Only she isn't looking at the food on the floor, she's looking at the girl who is looking back with a grin.

Reel looks up at the attendant, and then to the girl, and then to the table. His face turns red with anger. He turns to the girl and say (in Chezbah) “Have you both promised?” No one translates but I figure someone will eventually tell Zivka. The girl says confidently “Cheeg.” meaning yes.

Reel then leaves the table. Chahkel the eldest of Reel’s brothers approaches the diplomats and tells them very somberly in Chezbah “We know this is not your doing but you must now go, the Eelich family can no longer be your host.” The diplomats ask what has happened but Chahkel will only say, “Nimoe (the girl’s name apparently) will have to explain later."

Chahkel and the men of the house then usher the PCs and Diplomats out of the tower along with Nimoe who leads the group out of the town.

Do I know about the Knfey-spoony ceremony? If so, i try to explain Zvika's ignorance.

Unfortunately most of the Chezbah culture that you've studied are military and religious rites. It's not Ed's fault that he doesn't know. Very little of Chezbah civilian culture is documented. From what you know, they should have taken offense when Nimoe put her cup on the table because only the patriarch and his wives are allowed to put bowls on the table.

You try to explain that Zivka didn't know what was going on but Chahkel says "We know, he did not realize what Nimoe was doing but honor demands we cannot have you in our house any longer. The Chig (poisonous insect) will have to explain herself to you.".

"You have our sincerest apologies, if we've caused offense. If you can no longer host us, perhaps you will allow us to host you for after work dinner.

We can learn alot from each other."

As you're trying to express this the men are having nothing of it and several of them start pushing you (gently at first) towards the way out. The more you try and linger, the more forceful they become.

They escort you to the base of the tower. The girl, Nimoe is in front, no one is making her leave, she wants to. She'll actually take Zivka's hand and pull on it saying (IC) "We go! We go!" if he allows her to.

Once at the bottom of the tower She continue to be out in front. She'll run out of the city block if Zivka will run with her.

Zvika is going to try to look like a professional soldier and stay in lock step behind the diplomats as an escort, and resiting any efforts to be pulled away. Though by the time they reach the lower level, he's probably started quietly berating himself.

"Oy Gevalt {Hebrew Is it too much to ask to go twenty four hours without causing an interstellar incident... No, no apparently not. Could I have at least made it through dinner?} {Switching to English} So what happened? They don't have anything against boot knives do they? Can you at least confirm I'm not accidentally married - why do I have this unpleasant feeling...{Back to Hebrew - why did I tell them that. Now they're going to blame me. Well, they probably would have any way... they always blame the private...}

He's probably going to keep muttering to himself until he gets some actual food.
