Sorry this post comes late. Today while I was bored at work, nothing to do, I decided that I couldn't wait any longer and started working on my 24 Hour RPG Alone in the Woods, mixing Robin Hood and Home Alone. I'm hoping to actually get this one done a lot faster. I am going to be making a pertty simple game and using the basic d20 system as a skeleton.
Couldn't access the forums to announce it when I started at around 12:00 - blocked at work. I have been tweeting about it though. I'll be Live Tweeting the Entire Creation Process until its done. You can see it getting tweeted by following me @Shinobicow776 or by searching for the hash tag #24HourRPGLive.

Well, the tweetfest of this is going pretty well so far. I'm at about hour 10 now, since I started at noon. I am reaching the home stretch. All the rules, mechanics, and tables for the game are complete. Now, I just need to put together a little GM advice section, add in some wonderful formating and I'm done. Got a cool public domain image of Robin Hood that I'm using for the cover and on the Character sheet. I'm going to try and find some cool quotes to add in for some flavor.

And... I'm done. Here you go, enjoy the read. It's pretty simple, but fun.
Here is the file on MediaFire:
I'll upload submit it now.

This gave me a really odd image of Cary Elwes doing the MacCaulay Culkin 'oh no!' look. Yes, my mind is a strange place to be. Good luck with the contest sir! <salutes in old-school swashbuckler film fashion>

Seems a fun sort of game to play in the car, or on a plane trip. Could almost be made into a board game with a few small changed.
Great concept

Hey everyone! I made a huge no-no. Michael Wolf over at Stargazer's brought it to my attention that I failed to include a copy of the OGL in the actual PDF of the game. I have uploaded a new version of the game with the OGL copy and pasted in after the cover. That is the only real change made. If you already have a copy of the game, don't pass it around, but rather, I encourage you to download the new one that won't get me sued by WotC. Totally new to that whole thing. Still trying to get my site all legal and what not...
Here is the link to the Copy Right OK version. Sorry about that.

I was a bit dull when I first read through your game. "Setting traps...? Why would the merry men, what does he me.... Aaaaaaaah, yes, Home Alone...!" I like the combination!
I like the fact that there are several phases in the game, which all plays a bit different. It's like a board game with sub-games in it! Like "Battleship", or "Spy vs. Spy" on the Commodore (anyone...?).
If someone would nock an arrow, point it at my forehead and force me to nitpick on anything, I would say that there's some spelling errors here and there ("...between the 112-13th century..", "A Pitt Trap, with Spikes at the bottom..." (emphasis mine)), but they are easily counted.
Good work!
