2011 - Djinnbusters (Aladdin + Ghostbusters)

After mentioning this combination to my girlfriend as a joke, it stuck and now I can't get it out of my head.

13:27: Pondering on the game mechanics (resorting to the KISS-principle). Now on Spotify:
14:59: Started to translate my initial crazy-ideas-and-stuff-document from Swedish to English, and following the doctors "free guide to organising your rpg" since I don't want to have to think too much about the structure!
15:20: Ate an apple
18:01: Chapter about character creation, done and done. Trying to be pedagogical in the mechanics chapter...
20:49: Mechanics chapter is growing and growing and growing... I want to do the setting now!! Damn you brain. Also: had fruit salad.
21:43: Even more mechanics ("the turn"). Is the text supposed to look this blurry?
22:20: 11 hours! I think the mechanics is done. How can something that simple require so much text??
23:05: Woohoo, settings done. I think. Wasn't spelling errors a requirement?
00:41: Appendix, appendix. I'm tired.
01:14: Off to bed for a couple of hours of sleep before the panic tomorrow.
07:45: Opening the document and thinking "Did I write this??". Trying to write a playing example.
08:32: Added more text here and there (esp. about emptying the oil lamp). Trying to make wonders in Inkscape....
09:17: Writing down some example ghosts and their weaknesses. Also: coffee.
09:45: Started on the session example. Also: much more coffee.
10:20: 60 minutes left! Session example almost done, more about what happens when players fails at capturing a ghost (GM's section). Also: much much more coffee.
10:40: Session example done. I think I'm done...which probably means I'm not.
11:04: Proofreading the PDF...
11:16: Done! Uploading to my server

Thanks! I wasn't sure if I should select Ghostbusters since I know you were thinking of it as well (Blade Runner + Ghostbuster, right?), but then I realised we would probably end up in two totally different spots in time anyhow.

It's all good. I'm sure there are going to be a lot of people going that route. I'm still going to do that one this Friday, but I'm working on my other one right now. I've got a lot of spare time on my hands this week and I had to write this game today. It just sounded too much fun.

Done!! I'm guessing it's filled with grammatical errors, and the game mechanics is probably unbalanced, but hey, I finished it!
