I think its up to the author on that....if it doesn't sell its just not printed, so no real problem with free stuff...

in fact I think having SOME form of free support material for a game is near required in this modern gaming day.

It is, pretty much.

However, I couldn't stand being in the GPA. The mailing list was nothing short of headache inducing. Full of "why does the industry suck" questions and rather than going on and trying to find those other markets they would just fight over who should get the pie as they saw it. Got tired and didn't renew after that first year.

I'm all for getting the elbow grease and working, I've been doing the con circuit now for about 6 years. One year we had about 48 hours with of games run by three people. I'm all about the elbow grease there. Though Toronto is a sink hole for gaming. Most people want to play D&D and White Wolf and beyond that they've got their fingers stuck in their ears going, "la,la,la,la,la,la"
