Thanks chaps, this is all very interesting as I am en route to re-doing the Icar web page for version 4, it will include a blog that's easy for me to update. As CA points out, keeping writing is most important and I think for me ease is good for that.

Given you know what you now know, what would you do differently? Would you mark things as 'not commonly known'? Would you tag differently?

I think the biggest departure from my original plan was the mix of stories. The early concept was that Live from Dead Air would entirely be from the standpoint of KC, Hobbes, and Diego. Sing-Sing was kind of a fun addition to the cast, and a good way to get a Citizen's input, but probably should have been chronologically later in the storyline (such as there is) for the announcers. There are a few out of place tags (International vs Global). At least in Blogger, tags don't come until the end of the article, so although you can label things GM only, it doesn't say so at the top unless you type it at the top.

More importantly, I should have maintained the pages better. I only got the intro one done last night so it could be an example for this topic! (And even then, only part way.)

Not that anyone asked, but KC and Hobbes are named for a pair of cats I had. DeZufingia got the name since he would be paired with Hobbes, and I thought it would be funny to have two people named for philosophers playing off each other. Its a bit late to see if having framing characters would've helped or hurt the focus, but it is a consideration for ICAR - a focus on a few archetypal people and guides will keep players grounded in such a big universe amongst a cast of billions.

The other big note, is that I consider the blog a rough draft. Most of the stories are going to have added detail in the actual books. Interviews being just a wall of text with a person in a blank white void are are very bad habit, but an expedient one.
Games of imagination are never truly done. Yet tomorrow we shall start another one.

my new RPG blog.

I like my catagories so far but I don't really think I'm polished by any means. I only have 155 posts which is pretty small. I am looking for some new angles to expand on my categories and I probably should have been tagging with key words from the start but I didn't really know how to back then.
