Each character is created based on a narrative, in which they list the attributes and skills that enabled their past feats, and they assign dice values to each based on the number of explicit mentions of a characteristic. E.G. the player writes "with his great Cunnning"- this grants one point of Cunning with which to advance a die or to add a new one.

Next contributor gets to decide point limits and exchange rate for die values.

We need a state of play roundup post, kuma. It's difficult to tell what the state of the rules actually is.

Seeing as no-one has mentioned a setting, allow me...


The whole setting is based on the side of a sheer cliff face that stretches infinitely up and down. Cities cling to the side of the cliff, as does flora and fauna. The cliff is made from a stone that cannot be mined, except in a few veins. This material is sought after. Water is provided by rare rivers that pour from holes further up the wall and by rain.
