I spent a whole week of break doing nothing until I got back from it and pushed hard on a new project, which is only getting in the way of my final projects. Such is life, apparently.

I've been going crazy with everything that's going on in my life.

I've been:
- volunteering with the local library
- searching for work
- trying, and mostly failing, to maintain some semblance of a social life
- designing a wargame (which is currently being playtested and is almost ready for the first round of beta-testing)
- designing a rpg for a friend's kid

It may not sound like much, but my disability makes it easy for me to get overloaded. When that happens, things, like checking these forums, fall off of my mental radar. I promise to check back occasionally, but I can't promise when.

Yeah, I've had a bunch of derailments too. I was doing great churning out art for a bunch of projects, made a lot of progress. But then I started remodeling my bathroom. Something that we've wanted to do for a while.

Then our car's engine self destructed (timing chain broke, cracked the block) so now I need money that I just spent on the bathroom.

A friend asked about doing some plumbing and electrical work and I need the money, so I said yes. As with all projects like that, the scope keeps ballooning.

Then a friend gave us an old Toyota, just needed a few things to get it up to snuff. Well that turned into a few more things when the brakes went. The windshield had a crack in it, so we tried having Safelite come out and change it, but they said they won't put in a new windshield if it's got any rust in the track and there can't be so much as a pin hole in the metal from the rust. So they left and I ground out the rust. Then they're supposed to be so convenient, "Replace your windshield while you wait!" well they won't give us anything other than an 8 hour window to show up. The car is currently in my friend's unheated barn. We'd have to hang out all day just to wait for someone to show up with a windshield with no bathroom or heat. Not very convenient. I'm just going to drive it to my local car shop without a windshield now and have them replace it.

So what I thought was going to be a one week delay, has become a huge mess.

I did start writing another novel. That's going well, but slowly.

Although I've been posting on here a bit and talking to a few people on email, I've taken a 2 week break from Icar version 5. I've worked out my next mini-goal and am going to get on with it.
