@Wolfboy - for some inspiration, take a look at . I recall it being very similar to what you're planning. Its been on the net a couple of years, so excluding some interesting functions of temporal physics - they're probably not copying you.

@Rob CoF also happens to be free - so it may have a place on your blog. To simplify things, it has an from the far off year 2000. (Where is my hover car?!)

This one has a bit of a long story about it, but I'm guessing Tad, at least, will be interested :).

A friend of mine, John, who I both work with and game with was telling me he was going to be starting up his own game of with his main gaming group with which I'm not involved.

Aside from being jealous, as even though I wrote it, its a game I've had limited opportunity to play (I always got stuck with running it), it started me paging back through the material to help John decide what to run. But it got me remeniscing.

This weekend was also the deadline for some freelance work I've been doing, and I was struggling for ideas, but the topic was similar to something we put in Mysteries of the Occult, so I paged back through that book again.

And looking through it again from this distance really helped me evaluate what is in the book and the general approach we took with it. Nigel and I have always thought it was the best of the Etherscope supplements, the one where we really got the mix of fluff and cruch spot on. Looking through it again I don't disagree with that general principle, but there's something about it, and something that comes across in some of the other Etherscope books, is that it just seems a bit rushed. I think I know the reasons for this, but it would probably be unprofessional for me to go into them in detail, but it did get me thinking about this thread.

If I had all the time in the world I would redo Etherscope completely, from top to bottom. The system would be completely new, a lot more rules-light, and the core rulebook would include much more of the setting meterial - probably everything found in The Great Metropolis for a start. I'd do big supplements, too. I'd cover a topic holisticaly, like we did with Mysteries of the Occult, but with more crunch, more detailed fluff, and more sample adventures. I'd probably also have a go at a "living" style campaign, like Dark providence for Witch Hunter.

It's nice to dream :)
