I worked long hours for a week and a half and the beard is on its way back. Now I can't be bothered to get rid of it so I've got a beard again. Don't presume that there's a plan to this, it's all down to laziness!

catty_big has it right. Sometimes a beard requires more attention than just the same clean shave each morning.

That's why I usually sport an unattended beard.

Right now I'm in a lazy phase, growing a beard (again. I used to have a beard, shaved it off in April). In a few weeks I'll groom it a bit, than keep it at that length. Shave only on the neck part.

Yeah, whenever I'd be walking through that section of the British museum I'd always think Wow, how do they do that? Of course, one difference between now and then is that the Persian Emporers had slaves to do all that for them. Still, it's pretty impressive. Aso impressive is the fact that there's a thread on an RPG forum that's playing host to a discussion about beards!!
