The black on grey is a little difficult to read. I like the spotty background, how about lightening the text body background to near-white. Doesn't need to be bright white - just really near it. Some readers don't have great eyesight, so might find it hard. Also, I would give some margin between the text and the edge of the content.

It's really great to have someone else blogging about free RPGs!

TV Tropes is Aristotle's "Poetics" for the digital age.

Brilliant! Much better for reading :)

You don't have to ever stop tweaking and improving your blog. About half of my readers read the blog in RSS readers such as Google Reader.

Yeah I prefer reading stuff on the original website, I use a feed reader to alert me when there's updates but I still read the stuff in Chrome/Firefox.

Unfortunately my computer's having some pretty extreme problems right now. I'll probably miss this week's blog post (dagnabbit).

Definitely make use of feedburner chaps. It shows you roughly how many are reading through RSS. Google feedburner. It's really easy to set up on Google and I imagine the same for Wordpress too.

I have an occasional blog at: yearoflivingfree.wordpress.com

At the moment, it's in little use - but I intend from 3 January to make weekly updates of what's going on in the open gaming community (which shares some ground with the free gaming community).

Any major lessons learnt fellow bloggers?

The things I have learned from my brief forray into blogging are.
1. Set a Blog schedule (but don't publish it, therefore no one will know if you miss it)
2. Stick to rule no 1
3. Make my writing style easier to read (spelling, grammer and punctuation.)
4. Read lots of other blogs. (for "inspiration")
5. Get involved in the blog community (leave comments)
6. There is always more to learn!
