So it has to be explicitly public domain or open content, right?

It can't just be a couple of guys who would be totally flattered that you did something and had fun with their game.

Like does Animalball Games count?

Does Mythopoetic Games count?

I had nearly forgotten about my own little contribution to 00. Thanks for the reminder.

My own Midian has its own licensing scheme. It's quite open. In the not-too-distant future I plan on re-releasing it under an even more open license. There is also a Public Domain (and trademark free) variant called the . Games don't come any freer than PD.

Can't stop long for a decent reply but I think this was a great post! I am thrilled that Sanglorian is holding up the Open Gaming banner. It's a niche, within a niche, within a niche. Excellent.
