The Iron Kingdoms is out!

Postby Praetorian » Thu Jul 22, 2004 2:02 am

Hi all,

I wanted to draw you roleplayers out there to look at the Iron Kingdoms Campaing Guide. It is a book that I had the happy honor of helping write for... and is honestly a great D20 campaign world.

Think magic and machine- steam and the arcane- combined in a world that is both in-depth as well as interesting. Gunmages, Warcasters, Steamjacks, horrid undead techno-things, and some of the best art you will see in any rpg.

and for the book:

It's expensive- but you get 400 pages of hardcore setting. Its worth the investment.

I am very proud of my work with this setting.
Chris

Very cool Chris. What parts did you contribute to?

Mostly on magic and on the undead/Cryxian stuff.

Cryx is an insland chain off the coast of the mainland with the most obvious bad guys in it. The islands are led by an immortal and powerful dragon called Lord Toruk (who has ample evidence for being the first and most powerful dragon). His acolytes and followers are practitioners in the darkest of arts and combine the worst parts of marauding Saxons with necromancy.

I also did some work on general background on wizardly orders and the mechanics behind the magic of the world. Really fun stuff.

There is a companion piece coming out in dec. that focuses on developing the world- a lot more of my stuff is in that book (along with a lot of little adventure vignettes that I wrote up)

All in all, one of the best books I have contributed to.
Chris
