I thingk Mr. Jeffery should add an expansion to Legends of Middle Earth with more species, roles, and monsterws. and maybe even a long, drawn-out adventure much like the books.[/b]
I've used Jeph's Legends of Middle Earth rules as the basis for a conversion of The Land (Chronicles of Thomas Covenant - Stephen Donaldson). With Jeph's full permission, of ourse.
It's not finished, but I got distracted into doing a d20 conversion too - which is also unfinished!
Unfortunately, I'd also love to do an expansion for Exemplar, finish up the player's companion for Pagoda, do a revision of Dark Spell, finish up Holier Than Thou, and complete The Courageous Adventures of the Fearless Dinosaur Hunters. As well as put my group's rules for Feng Shui In Space into writing. And clean up Modulus into something that looks a bit prettier. And figure out how to make maps with Illustrator. And ace school. *sigh*
But when I do get around to doing a LoME expansion, what else would people like to see? Any specific ideas for races, roles, and The Big Adventure?
I had noticed this thread on one of my first visits. I'm downloading LoME & "the Land" addaptations by Simon. I read those books long ago. (Chronicles of Thomas Covenant) Donaldson created a lovely fantasy world and I always thought it would make a good rpg setting. I actully only read the first three books. Perhaps it was just the first two? "The Unbeliever" or Thomas was my least favorite thing about the storys. He just made things difficult in a bad sittuation. But i guess that was the point?
Thanks for the all the hard work you guys!

Y'know, I just downloaded and read LoME based on the recent activity in this thread. Have to admit I probably wouldn't have done so otherwise. Man, I like what Jeffrey has done a helluva lot better than the Decipher system that my group is currently playing. Easier rules with more player control - I dig it. I think I'm going to have to add this to the que of games as a "must try"
