Cadwallon is an absolutely stunning game as far as artwork and setting. It's one of the most content rich things I've ever read. It's a real shame it's unplayable, not because of translation, but due to lack of an index and several critical rules that are impossible to play without.

I have totally stolen the setting for other games, especially the Free Leaguer's concept that each group are a card from a playing deck.

Top Secret/SI or my home bashed mod of it. Seeing how I've kept a Campaign setting rolling forward since '87  I have had to update or mod the system to better face my taste, I have stolen many thing from different systems.
Different groups of players, different teams, same central organization that the PC work for mostly set in current world setting, have 2 non 1 Is my Bizzare game where the Sun and the Weekly World News are considered true papers and the other . Longest Running is my Convention Team, 2nd longest is my current home group.

GURPS well 3rd edition of it. There so many games and types of games. I used it to flesh out important NPC for a now freegames from Full Thrust, Dirtside, & StarGrunt. I'm involved in Bureau 13 campaign that uses GURPS as the base game set run by Randolph from here.

Battletech who doesn't like moving troops and have them killer your enemies!!

I've got far too many to list,
But I will. :-)

My favourite of all time is 7th Sea.
There is something about it that just works brilliantly.
I've run a campaign for many years and still not run out of ideas for adventures.

I have very fond love for Vampire as I met so many new friends when I started up the UK Camarilla.
Its also a damn fine game too, even in the Requiem version :-)

Doctor Who is fab, but that is mainly as I love the show so much.
Mind you, the new version is spot on.

Amber and Nobilis are also among my favourites but I never get the chance to play them.
I lovethe freedom from system, although they are hard to learn how to play when you have so many gaming habits.
Always wanted to try them with complete newbies to see how they coped.

Lastly I have to put in a vote for my own Victoriana and Hellcats and Hockeysticks :-)

I want to play/buy Victoriana so very much. I'm aching to play it! It's very much up my street. Sadly, I've promised Jon Hicks of Farsight Games that it will be my first purchase from his game store when he gets it up and running. I've had a brief stint of Cloudship Atlantis with my group and they are well up for some Victorian-punk-esque setting. They couldn't move for cap doffing.

The other game I've loved to death is SLA Industries (how could I forget that?). It remains the darkest, coolest bleak near-future game out there. When it first landed in Leisure Games, I remember Angus recommending we took a look. To be honest, our few games at Finchley Games Club were a little too dark for some of the younger ones in our group!

I'm sure Victoriana will survive the wait, and I hope its worth it! :-)
It'll be around for a while as we have a lot on the way for it.
(Which is why I've had no time to get down to my Cyberpunk game! Grrr!)

I agree SLA is a fine game, although there is talk the system need a bit of work.
The Cannabal Sector makes it really bleak too!
I usually tell people at cons it is a dark corporate game where you discover the people you work for are hiding dark and terrible secrets. The idea being that you do something to stop them.
Sadly most groups go 'oh hell, they give us guns, drugs and money so who cares!'

I want to reiterate the OP's favorite in Warhammer Fantasy Role-Play. I am fond of the original edition. It's game mechanics are clean and easy. Both the roll under attribute task system and the exploding d6 damage mechanic are used in my free RPG Five by Five. The exact applications are different, but WFRP was most definitely the inspiration. WFRP combats are the fastest, cleanest, most enjoyable of any I have played.

Another game that I paid for that sits proudly on my shelf is Mike Pondsmith's Dream Park. This game was my first exposure to a truly "rules lite" game system and it proved that just because a game was rules lite didn't mean it couldn't be versatile and complete. Dream Park used a single d6 for resolution and it was a multi-genre game that could handle anything. I often look to its pages for inspiration.

Of the stuff you could get online and buy right now, I would have to give high props to Truth and Justice by Chad Underkoffler and Mongoose's new Traveller core rules hard cover. Both of these are really well done. Traveller is the same old school game it ever was and I can see using it for any genre not just science fiction. If my house was burning and I could only save one rule book, it would probably be the Traveller book. (Assuming my house is burning because of a nuclear holocaust and I can't just waltz to the store and buy another copy.)

Regards,
