I am participating in a contest. You are suposed to write an adventure about "light and shadow". I am writing a Magic the gathering Adventure using Wushu open reloaded as the system for the Game. It will be about some phyrexians conquering a fortress to gain the sword of light and shadow. I always likes the MtG Lore and this is my chance to make it more popular. And if I am lucky I can win the pathfinder rules. All will be one
I am cramming numbers back into Super Robot Go! and replacing much of the game systems. I enjoyed the setting and see this as a kid-friendly game (as the house is infested with sprogs, the Wife thinks that I should come to some kind of accord with them). I still like the robot combat mechanisms (if you squint hard and the lights are dim), but it needs to be more fun and less "throw dice until you're out".
When all you have is a gun that fires windows, every problem looks defenestratable.
but when I'm not busy working or studying (well, or INSTEAD of these two things), I'm outlining a Lovecraft-based scenario for two players. It's not CoC or anything, systemless, really, and it builds on the premise of doing something true to Lovecraft's actual writing. It's gonna include lots of memoirs, letters, diaries and Academia. No fending off monsters.
I am currently throwing time into my current Icar campaign and the Fleet setting.
The Icar campaign is quite involved and has lots of odd concepts that I am juggling (can't say too much in public), so it requires a lot more planning than usual.
The Fleet setting text is coming along and I've finished all the numbers, which was a big hurdle.
I'm also writing an Icar novel, 200 words a day. That's doing OK too.
I'm conducting a consultation exercise to see what game(s) people would be interested in seeing me work on next. So far there are two or three clear front-runners, so that gives me some idea of my direction of travel over the next year or so.
Currently promoting (published November 2013) and working on several other games: visit the for details.
I just finished with a gig to make a php website and database for a business for tracking their customers. It's got me in the programming mood so I'm dusting off my php books and trying to see if I can re-learn ajax. I did start drawing for an rpg project that I've adapted from my Energy System. So I haven't totally been slacking.
Right now . .. wasting time with South Park :the Stick of Truth while also trying to get energetic enough to get back into working on my various half done creations . . . choices choices, choices . . .
