It's a Dog's Life 2nd Edition Cover Art

Postby Simon W » Tue Nov 02, 2004 2:46 am

The new cover art is here

The snake will be a rattler (as opposed to a Cobra!) in the finished version and there will be more background detail.

Thoughts/comments?

Very nifty. I am glad you are swtiching from a Cobra to a Rattlesnake- though you may want to keep the cobra pic on hand if you ever decide to do a game that involves Meerkats and Africa

Is this going to be available for sale?

Yeah, the cobra was a mistake!

It will be available at RPGNOW from about mid-November, replacing the 1st Edition.

It has 50 pages of rules (11 more than the original), background, legends, traditions, 'magical' barks, critters on the prairie, adventures and real-life info on prairie dogs. All bookmarked too.

There will be sample characters, character sheet and a print-friendly option.

As to the Meerkat's in Africa game, yeah, I could do a supplement. I'll give this some thought.

Funnily enough, I just watched a TV documentary about Meerkats last night! They aren't as cute as prairie dogs, but they look a bit tougher (fighting snakes and scorpions and so on). I'm thinking about it........

This is one of the interior pieces, taken from one of the Prairie Tales, about when the Lord of prairie dogs, Lord Kynos made a deal with Thunderhoof Lord of the Bison to live together on the prairie.

I like it a lot. Any thoughts, comments, suggestions?

I dig it as well.

For curiosity's sake- how do you account for Jackrabbits, Coyotes, and Hawks?
