Condensing it down

There comes a time in every designers life where he or she must look upon his or her creation and utter the words, "This sucks!"

In a fit of spring cleaning, I have had to do such a thing. The sprawling mess I created had to go. So, I put every part of my D10-0 system into a crucible, sent it through an arc furnace, and condensed everything to the most basic form.

No thrills, but concise, simple descriptions and rules. Since, I've expanded my graphical and desktop publishing abilities via another project (a euro economic card game: http://www.bestwithstuff.com/RIGSPrintT ... FBeta3.pdf), I'm going to try to use what's left as source material for a proper PDF book. Before, I go too far, I wanted people to take a look and see if anyone else could catch a few more problems before I go too far.

Any input would be appreciated. I've got some info for a setting on other pages, but I'll be taking a chainsaw to prune stuff soon enough.

I've been in the same position many times...you look at all that work and think..."hmmmm, is it really necessary?".

As a result, I've been trying to generate some really streamlined and focused game designs lately. Enough to play, and enough to set the right mood, but not so complex that the rules just get in the way.

I'll have a look and get back to you when I next get back online...give me a week or so. (I'll try to give some decent feedback).

Sat down finally produced a System Reference Document for my D10/0 System. It's a draft and will have tons of needed corrections and additions, but It's a semi-official PDF now!
